Boarding Policies and Procedures

Required Vaccination:

All pets must be current on their vaccination in order to board.  New clients must provide our hospital with proof of vaccinations given by a licensed veterinarian. Proof of vaccines includes documentation such as vaccination certificates, copies of client records, or receipts which contain information pertaining to the vaccinations given, the animal's name, description and the client's names.

If your pet is not current on his/her vaccinations, the required vaccines will be administered upon admission.

The required vaccinations are as follows:

Dogs-  Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvo, Paarainfluenza, Corona, Bordetella and Rabies

Cats -  FVRCP Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calci Virus, Panleulopenia i.e. Distemper, Rabies,                         Feline Leukemia

Admission:

Upon admission all pets will be checked for external parasites (fleas & ticks) and treated if needed at the owners expense.

Upon admission we will return your pet's collar, leash or pet carrier.

If your pet has finicky eating habits or takes medication, please be sure to leave special written instructions.  There will be an additional charge for additional care.

Pickup:

Boarding fees are charged by the night, therefore, your pet may be picked up any time before closing on the day scheduled to go home at no additional charge.  Baths are available for all pets on the day they go home.  There is an additional charge for this service and generally the pets will be ready after 3 P.M.  Let us know ahead of time if you desire a bath for your pet.

Toy Policy:

Small Animal request that your pet not bring the following articles with them:

Toys, Blankets, Beds, Towels, Food or Water Bowls

Toys may fall through grates inside the kennel.  Rawhides, pigs ears and similar "chewy" pieces can cause intestinal blockage.  Large foam beds and blankets are too large to launder, therefore, cannot be sanitized properly.  We provide blanket and towels which alleviates trying to keep all seperated.  Our food and water bowls are stainless steel which are non-porous and easily sanitized.
